Birthday Honours
Synopsis:
It is thought that alec is to receive an honour in the Queen's Birthday Honours. His mother-in-law tells her daughter Monica that she must cease the affair she has been having with Peter. alec returns from a business trip early and discovers his wife and Peter - but surprisingly shows no anger about it and even polite to Peter. Monica thinks that alec's behaviour must be because he too is having an affair and with his secretary Elizabeth. He is not but soon starts to have one with her. Monica ditches Peter. But alec does not get an honour. Monica tries to get Peter back - but he has met and got engaged to her sister.
