Audible Sigh, An
Synopsis:
an eccentric, well-known writer, Gale McGee, an iconoclast, marries a young girl and moves from his absurd life in California into her middle-class environment in a Connecticut home . . ."temporarily." He tries to work, but his natural environment is one of con-flict, and soon he is at odds with his new mother-in-law, Florence, and his new wife, Lucy. Through the conflict, Lucy "finds" her mother but never quite gets to Gale: a writer-an observer to the end - removed from even his own feelings.
