Synopsis:
Worst in Show follows Broadway has-been impresario and songwriter Ned Bronstein, who had a modest Broadway success 25 years prior to the opening of the show. Ned keeps body and soul together by writing jingles for weddings, bar mitzvahs and anniversary parties, aided and abetted by his long-suffering secretary, almost-ex third wife and bickering parents, as he struggles to make his way back to a radically changed Broadway. enter Tom O'Malley, young, neurotic bicycle messenger and musical wunderkind, and Ned's luck changes.
Notes:
Worst in Show is one of three Finalists in the New Jersey Playwrights Contest at William Paterson University in Wayne, NJ. the play will be presented as a staged reading on Wednesday, January 30th at the Hunziker Black Box theatre at WPU
