Big Bad Mouse

Synopsis:
In the Orders Office of Chunkibix Ltd, it is Mr Price-Hargreaves who gives the orders and Mr Bloome who obeys them. Until, that is, Mr Bloome is one day accused of chasing a young female person across Wandsworth Common making him the hero of every woman and girl in the office not least Miss Spencer. So glorious is Bloome's transformation, in fact, that when the young person in question discovers she has made a mistake in her identification, Bloome is the reverse of pleased and determines to keep her quiet.

Crystal Clear

Synopsis:
ever since her husband died in a boating accident Jane Shaw rules her stationers and newsagent shop with a rod of iron and her son Craig too. Craig is in love with shop assistant Penny but is too afraid to tell his mother. Penny and Craig decide that Jane would be better if there was a man in her life and they persuade one of the customers to propose to her. Much to his shock she accepts. then the supposedly dead husband turns up.

Here We Come Gathering

Synopsis:
a young married couple, anne and Philip, have had a cottage in the country bought for them by Philip's parents. the four of them arrive at the unfurnished cottage just ahead of the furniture van. a woman from the village who was bringing them food has failed to arrive. then the removal van breaks down half a mile from the cottage. the removal man's girlfriend falls into a stream and he sprains his ankle rescuing her. the bridge across the stream falls down marooning them all and then to top it all anne's ex-boyfriend turns up

How Are You, Johnnie

Synopsis:
Johnnie has never got on with his step-Father and his mother regrets having married again. Step-Father James is a police sergeant and bully. Johnnie discovers that he is having an affair and confronts him - they fight and Johnnie kills him. Johnnie is a lorry driver and he takes the body in his lorry and disposes of it. the police investigate as one of their own has disappeared. Les, Johnnie's younger gay assistant has realised that Johnnie is involved in the disappearance and uses this to try and get closer to him. Though Johnnie does not realise that Les is in love with him. the constant hounding he gets from the police is wearing Johnnie down to the point that he finally gives in and confesses

Serious Charge

Synopsis:
the new vicar has transformed the vicarage with his flair for interior design. One of the village spinsters, Hester Byfield makes it plain that she is interested in him - romantically - but she is spurned. One of the village girls comes to see him and says that she is pregnant and ne'er do well teenager Larry is the father. after leaving the vicarage she sees Larry in the arms of the vicar's maid and distraught steps in front of an oncoming lorry and is killed. the vicar invites Larry over to the vicarage and tells him that he holds him responsible for the girl's death. Larry is in a dishevelled state as he has been fighting. When there is a ring at the door. Larry starts shouting. Hester comes in - Larry has knocked some items of furniture over and accuses the vicar of trying to interfere with him.

Without the Prince

Synopsis:
a village amateur Drama group are going to put on "Hamlet" but have no one to cast in the title role. a stranger arrives in the village - he has lost his memory but appears to be an actor. He is given the part. after some burglaries in the village he is accused of doing them but is acquitted. a West end impresario arrives the man with memory loss is in fact a world famous actor and on the night he is due to play "Hamlet" at the village he should be appearing in that role in the West end.
