Boundary, The

Synopsis:
In 2020, Edinburgh and Leith are warring cities separated by a fortified line. With inhabitants segregated by birth place and limited opportunities to cross, football is both a unifying and dividing force. With loved ones trapped on the other side, and violence mounting, someone was bound to cross the line. . .Siblings Jen and Scott are inhabitants of Leith, and ardent Hibs fans. Their friend Steph is attempting to cross into the capital to see her boyfriend, Duggie, who is both an Edinburgh native and a Hearts supporter. When Boundary soldiers Archie and Sal take an interest in the group, the politics of the division begin to hit home, and each will have to decide how far they are willing to go for what they believe in.

Notes:
A five-minute version of The Boundary was produced at the Traverse Theatre as part of the Traverse Fifty Plays for Edinburgh. A full-length version is also available. "I loved Deborah Klayman's Boundary, which brought images of cities divided by war home to the urban boundary between Edinburgh and Leith." - Joyce McMillan, The Scotsman.
