Born in Mountain Lake, MN on September 20, 1931. BA., English, University of Minnesota; MA., English, University of Kansas; M.F.A., Playwriting, University of MinnesotA. Publications: Poems, stories and articles in periodicals. Three volumes of poetry, most recently Liturgies, Games, Farewells, 1974. editor and publisher of seven volumes of Religious Theatre, 1964-1971, in which were published fourteen new plays by eleven new playwrights in addition to numerous articles. Some directing assignments: artistic Director for the National Humanities Series and the Carolina Readers' Theatre. Director for the American Heritage Festival. artistic Director for multi-media productions, the Communications Community, New Rochelle, NY. He was also a professional actor, and taught for thirteen years. Member, New Dramatists; Dramatists Guild; S.S.D.C.; A.e.A. and SaG.
