PAUL KNOXs plays have been seen at the Circle Repertory Company Lab, Circle East, the Neighborhood Playhouse, the 42nd Street Workshop, Harvard University, New York State Summer School for the Arts, SALAAM, with Desipina at the New York Tenement Museum, Columbia University Dramatists, the South Asian-American Theater of Boston at Wellesley College, and other locales as far as Cape Town. Paul has directed numerous other works, including William M. Hoffmans Cornbury, the Queens Governor and Gilles de Rais. He was executive director of Circle East, which he founded in 2000 with artistic director Michael Warren Powell, the former artistic director of the Circle Rep Lab. With Circle East, Paul produced more than thirty short plays in festivals, three full-length plays including Craig Lucass Mother Bird, and dozens of readings and workshops of plays in development. Paul is a co-recipient of the United Nations Society of Writers Award for his exchange work with the Russian Academy of Theater Arts in Moscow.
