Eric Michael Kochmer is a actor/writer/director with a background in experimental theater working and mentoring under musical theater composer/playwright/director Elizabeth Swados at LaMaMa Theater. Shortly after relocating to Los Angeles in 2006 produced and starred in avant gard filmmaker George Landow's film "Dialogues" (2009). Eric has acted in over 30 feature and short films and works frequently through the La film collective We Make Movies which he has starred in the webseries "Hipster Backlash," "BAST" and the short film "All Roads Lead to Paradise". Eric has a few intense supporting roles in the films "I'm not Here" (which recently premiered at Hollyshorts Film Festival) "Virginity" which has won numerous awards in film festivals this year including: The Boston International Film Festival, The Las Vegas Film Festival, The New Wave Film Festival and The Other Venice Film Festival. Two other films that Eric has starring roles in coming out in festivals in 2014 are "Hunt the Magguffin" and "White Rabbit." Kochmers directorial feature film debut Way Down In Chinatown, had two advanced screenings at this years Hollywood Fringe Festival and is gearing up for a lot of screenings and the dvd and online release premier in 2014. Kochmer has directed a segment of "Stripping Shakespeare" which will debut on-line in 2014 and is slated to direct an segment of "12 Second Broadstroaks," which will also debut on-line in 2014.
