Luke Krueger is a Visiting assistant Professor of Theatre at Northern Illinois University. Over 30 performances of his work have been seen around the country. In 2006, he was the first playwright to be named the emerging Writer in Residence at Pennsylvania State University - altoonA. In 2007, he was a resident playwright at Northern State, a LORT company in Vermont. His plays have been published in the alchemy Review, Spirits, and Viral Cat. Plays have also been featured at the Last Frontier Theatre Conference, the Comparative Drama Conference, and the Mid-American Theatre Conference. He holds an MFA in playwriting from arizona State University, and a Ba in English from Miami University (Ohio). He has also worked in the literary department at Urban Stages in NYC. as a teacher he has taught at arizona State University, Penn State University, Lake Forest, Loyola University-Chicago, and Indiana University-Northwest. He has been a guest artist at a few colleges including Molloy College and Northeastern State University. In 2004, he was one of two panelists who hosted Edward albee in a colloquium at arizona State University. Luke's work is social satire bordering on the absurd.

Bon Chat, Bon Rat, A
Synopsis:
the play is an allegory of foreign policy qua bar fight. Pierre and Sam are hanging out at a bar. Sam, slams down shots, progressively getting more and more belligerent. When a man, who Sam believes burned down his house, appears in the bar, Pierre tries to talk Sam down, pointing out that faulty wiring was the cause. When the man leaves without incident, Pierre too leaves, fed up with his gun-toting friend's taunts accusing Pierre of cowardice. Leaving Sam alone to confront a much more dangerous nemesis in Daniel B. who arrives at the close of the play.

Copyright Sullivan Or the Place Where People Come To Die
Synopsis:
Eric Sullivan, wealthy entrepreneur, war hero from Somalia, returns to his hometown, hoping to elicit some plaudits for his success post high school (and to resolve issues with his high school girlfriend). Instead, Eric finds that out of a class of 99 people, no one seems to remember him. Sullivan is a quirky town outside of Nowhere, where the only commerce is funeral homes with special themes, a mayor who is openly crooked, a woman certain she will have a virgin birth, and another (Eric's ex) who only speaks in lines from the Princess Bride. Eric offers a proposal to the town to rebuild the high school library, and their response, "Kill G.I. Joe."

Play was given A workshop production At the Lyceum theatre in Tempe, AZ. Also received A developmental reading in NYC with Blue Roses Productions. Chicago show had packed houses And online reviews were great.

Eat Me
Synopsis:
Three twenty-somethings come together in a Phoenix apartment. all three are besot with debt and unable to secure a job that pays enough to cover their monthly bills. the new roommate Scooter, has been recruited in a plot to cause Wisconsin to secede and bloat the price of milk worldwide, which Evelyn and Jaime plan to exploit and gouge people with milk prices. the plan soon falls apart, leading to a battle over Rasputin's mummified phallus, cannibalism, and their last hope, Jesus on Wheels -Evelyn's Humvee.

Presented At the Last Frontier theatre Conference, where it was named Best of Conference. the last scene has three disembodied heads talking. So it's got some tricky tech stuff, but fun for A director.

Exit, Cute Ed
Synopsis:
Johanna, arrives at Mary's home so the two may have dinner with ed (Mary's brother, Johanna's ex-husband). While Johanna wishes to move on, Mary prefers to remain in the home, looking at photo albums. the fight as to whether they should go to dinner with ed, intensifies as both women try to reconcile their fond memories of ed with his very public atrocities.

Going Public
Synopsis:
Based loosely on Ibsen's an enemy of the People, the play follows two sisters who head up a software company. their landmark security software Sentinel, has made the company the hottest thing since Microsoft, and they plan to go public and trade the company's stock. However, Thomasina's risky code used what she believed to be the proof of the Riemann Hypothesis, to make an unbreakable code. It goes awry, making a global chaos possible with information systems. the question then becomes: What will go public first, the stocks or the truth?

One of three finalists for the Oglebay Institute's National Collegiate Playwriting Contest. Has since undergone massive rewrites to include A new subplot involving the Riemann Hypothesis.

Great Fresco Of Stupidity, A
Synopsis:
ernest Lynch is fast tracked for the White House. His firebrand party head, Tred, revels in the coming victory, and his common law wife, aleida, hopes his new online predator law will provide the protection their son Ryan never had. However, in an interview, ernest lets slip his religious beliefs or lack thereof. Soon he must make his electoral stand in Kansas, where he was born, but banished from because of an undisclosed entanglement with a 15 year old girl. When tornadoes hit the state, a flag with the face of Jesus on it leads to online bidding, MMa fights, and a number of other schemes to win the election, as aleida's hope for Ryan's Law fades.

Synopsis:
Set at a fictional university in the South, the school's football team is unbeatable and a two time defending national champion. However, the school's president sees all the negatives the program provides, and how it diminishes from the academic reputation of the school. When President Venable fights back, the coach, his assistant, a booster, and a prattling governor look to overthrow Venable and install the coach as the university's new president.

Synopsis:
Chastity is an aspiring documentary filmmaker, stuck working at theatre in Crawfordsville, IN. When celebutante Milan Booth arrives at her theatre, she decides to make Chastity (or C-titty as Milan calls her) her new BFF. When a tidal wave wipes out Los Angeles on Oscar night, Hollywood, scrambles to find the hot dumb talent they shunned, the only way they know how - a nationwide call for sex tapes. Milan's sex tape becomes a hot item, the only copy is owned by Chastity's ex, Trace. Nina, a dietician to the stars, intent on becoming an acting guru, strikes out to get the tape before. Standing in Nina's way is Chastity, who is aided by Mae West's spirit, which has taken possession of Milan, in order to kill the dumb blonde stereotype forever.
