Tuli was born on September 28th 1923. He is a poet, cartoonist and anarchist. Co-founder of the band the Fugs (the word Norman Mailer uses in "the Naked and the Dead" instead of fuck). He graduated from Brooklyn College in 1944. In 1958 he founded the journal "Birth" it ran for only three issues but published many of the Beat Generation authors. His most famous work is "1001 Ways to Beat the Draft" (1966)
