Mark Lambeck is a resident playwright of both the Manhattan-based, Emerging artists Theatre Company and Stratford, Connecticut-based SquareWrights. He has had staged readings and productions throughout Connecticut and a staged reading of his Holocaust play, Voices from the ashes at The Lamb's Theater in NYC. Other NYC credits include productions at: The Pulse Ensemble Theatre, Genesis Rep, Red Room Theatre, Love Creek Productions, and Spotlight On Productions, among others. His one act, Tuna & Jack, was a finalist in the 2001 American Globe Theatre's 15-Minute Play "Turnip Festival" and Call Me Bernice won the 2002 Sage Theatre One act Playwright's award. In addition, he has won the Connecticut One act Play Contest, and several Writer's Digest playwrighting awards. Four of his play adaptations of O. Henry short stories have been published by Contemporary Drama Service.

a Jewish grandmother drops in unexpectedly to visit her granddaughter in her new apartment. While there, she learns her granddaughter is hiding something only to confess a secret of her own.

From The Cheap Seats
Synopsis:
When a young woman almost runs over a man standing in the middle of the road, she berates him for trying to kill himself on a small town road. During the course of the play, we learn she is a rabbi and her 'tough love' approach is a ploy to draw the man out of his depression.

Tower Project, The
