after training as a lawyer, Charles Lambert studied for the Creative Writing Ma at the University of east anglia where he went on to write a PhD on Critical and Creative Writing for Theatre and Screen. as part of this, Charles wrote the play the WOLVeS OF KROMeR for the Studio in Norwich which he later adapted and produced as a feature film. the WOLVeS OF KROMeR swiftly became Brit indie cult classic and top selling DVD occupying number one position in the gay US DVD sales charts. a seminal piece in the gay wolf genre, the film was critically acclaimed ("a simple, pointed parable executed with considerable elan. . .script is deft with more than a few pin-sharp lines." VaRIeTY) and also sold theatrically in eight countries. Since then Charles has written for television (episodes of NIGHT & DaY) and has produced the documentary a SLIM PeaCe (fourteen Palestinian and Israeli women come together for the first time to fight for the common goal of weight loss in a slimming group in east Jerusalem) which premiered in competition at Tribeca Film Festival and is being sold for TV through Andrew Herwitz at Film Sales Corp, NY. Charles has more recently completed a coming-of-age feature and is now writing a romantic comedy feature. In addition he is working on a six-part TV series CaTeRPILLaRS with Laura Bridgeman, with whom he is developing further projects.
