Since being awarded a distinction in his postgraduate degree in Creative Writing at the University of exeter, Kit Lambert been based in Cardiff where he writes poetry and plays. In 2004, Kit was runner-up in Wales' national performance poetry competition, the John Tripp award, and he has recently appeared in the Welsh heat of BBC Radio 4's UK-wide poetry competition. His works appears in the allotment, an anthology of new lyric poets published by Stride last year. His first play, the Custom House, won the Sherman Script Slam 2005 and was subsequently shortlisted for the King's Cross New Writing award. after receiving script development support by Sgript Cymru, Wales' foremost company for new writing in the Theatre, Kit was one of handful of writers to be showcased as part of Paines Plough's Wild Lunch season at the Young Vic in London last year.

Custom House, The

Synopsis:
In a disused custom house, just beyond the edge of a new european state, two men dream of crossing the border and starting a new life for themselves. Joseph Tramontana and Stefan Deracine make their plans for the voyage, but the expected departure never comes. Instead, two women arrive, travelling in the other direction, and challenge their preconceptions of what it is to be "in europe" in the 21st Century.

Deluge

Synopsis:
Cityscape is made up of four plays exploring dilemma, deceit and euphoria, inspired by the streets and spires of Cardiff. Four writers have immersed themselves in the city to create these visions of contemporary living in the capital. Exquisite Corpse, The

Synopsis:
Most of us have played a game of consequences at some stage. You draw a head, fold the paper over then pass it on to someone who draws the torso who then folds it over and passes it to someone who draws the legs etc, revealing a rather unusual creation at the end. the surrealists called this game Le Corps exquisite which is the inspiration for true/fiction theatre Company's the exquisite Corpse. However rather than a piece of paper, in this instance it is scenes written by various writers which are performed in a different order each night.
