Eric Lane's award-winning plays have been published and performed in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Israel and China. His play, Filming O'Keefe, was commissioned by ATF and premiered in 2013. Times of War premiered at ATF in 1999 and won the Berrilla Kerr Playwriting Award, plus grants from the Puffin Foundation, the Pilgrim Project and the Maurer Family Foundation. Eric received the Jonathan Larson Performing Arts Foundation residency to develop Times of War at ATF. Times of War also was written during residencies at Yaddo, where Eric received the ?Newman's Own' Foundation grant for excellence in playwriting and screenwriting. Eric's plays are published by Dramatists Play Service, Playscripts, Applause Books, Poems & Plays, Meriwether Press and the Foreign Language Press (in English and Chinese). His other plays include Ride, Floating, Heart of the City, Cater-Waiter and Dancing on Checkers' Grave, which starred Jennifer Aniston. With Nina Shengold, Eric has edited 13 contemporary play anthologies for Penguin and Vintage Books. He received the La MaMa Playwright Award and twice won the Lamia Ink! International One-Page Play Contest. For TV's Ryan's Hope, he received a Writer's Guild Award. Eric is an honors graduate of Brown University.

Dancing On Checkers' Grave
Synopsis:
Lisa and Dina meet at the grave site of Richard Nixon's dog, Checkers, to work on a high school english composition. Though the two girls couldn't be more different, they find common ground in vocabulary words, nail polish, and donuts. But when Lisa convinces Dina to join her on an imaginary car ride through town, both girls reveal their fears and emotions in a way they never thought possible.

Filming O'Keeffe
Synopsis:
This funny and moving play is set in Lake George, New York, in the present. Max and his mother, Melissa, live on the property that was once the home of artists Georgia O'Keeffe and Alfred Stieglitz. Max and his classmate Lily are making a film about the legendary artists for a high school project. Ride
Synopsis:
Eric Lane's poignant and hilarious play, RIDe, takes three teenage girls on a life-changing road trip. While Carrie and Molly would never hang out together at high school, the two form a fragile bond during their job at a local farm stand. Molly convinces Carrie to join her on an unexpected road trip, which deepens their connection. Sam, Carrie's eleven-year-old sister, joins them and creates the bridge the older girls need to move forward. all three girls are keeping secrets, which unfold over the course of their adventure. Throughout the play, Carrie recalls the life of anne Frank, the subject of a high-school composition. Carrie wonders if everybody isn't living in hiding in their own secret annex. the girls' true selves begin to emerge; their "ride" is both a physical and emotional one. the play offers a terrific opportunity for three young actresses.
