Jesse LaVercombe is an actor, writer, and composer, born (1992) and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He moved to Montreal to study acting at The National Theatre School (NTS), graduating in 2013, and completed his Bachelor's Degree in Vancouver at Capilano University in 2014. Acting credits include: A Presence of Monster (co-creator, Dirty Laundry Creations / PuSh International Performing Arts Festival), Dinner Parties (co-creator, Dirty Laundry Creations / FUSE at the Vancouver Art Gallery), Arts Club Stroll (Dirty Laundry Creations / Arts Club Theatre Company), Richard the Third, The Brothers Karamazov, Macbeth, As Five Years Pass, Human Cannon, Three Sisters, Twelfth Night (NTS), Model Wanted (NTS and Friendly Haters Theatre Co. / Vancouver Fringe Festival), The Love Game (What She Said Productions), Protestival (Buddies in Bad Times), The Ark: Ibsen on Fogo Island (Canada's National Arts Centre). He wrote his solo show, Preacher Man,in 2012 under the guidance of Adam Lazarus and Jodi Essery and has performed the piece in Montreal (NTS), Toronto (Toronto Festival of Clowns), Fredericton (Fancy Boys Theatre Co. / Saint Thomas University), Vancouver (Small-Handed Men Theatre Co. / Vancouver Fringe Festival), and in New York City (United Solo Theatre Festival), where it won the BEST SHORT SOLO Award. He co-wrote (with Step Taylor) and performed in Donny's Second Book (Fancy Boys Theatre Company / Saint Thomas University) in 2012 in Fredericton. He was the composer for the critically acclaimed epic parable, The Life of Jude, by Alex Poch-Goldin(Toronto SummerWorks 2013). He was a 2011 Young Arts Merit Award Winner, U.S.A. He is also a jazz pianist, songwriter, and poutine connoisseur.
