Pity, My Betrayer

Synopsis:
set in a workman's house in a wet timber-milling settlement. The wife is an Englishwoman married to a Maori labourer whom she met when he was on leave in London during the war. Racial friction is not the central theme of the play, however. It merely exacerbates the wife's isolation.
