When Adam Delved And Eve Span

Synopsis:
the setting of the play is 1381 when a Poll Tax was introduced by the present King. the population exploded in the Peasants' Revolt. the leaders, Wat Tyler and John Ball, were executed. the revolt began in a small village in essex called Messing. Much of the plotting was carried out in Colchester. It is therefore fitting that the play should be performed in Colchester exactly 600 years later
