Originally hailing from and writing in Melbourne, Andrea now lives and works from Adelaide. She works freelance as writer, director and performer throughout Australia. Two productions she co-wrote and directed with her company SNAKEHOUSE PRODUCTIONS have toured extensively both overseas and within Australia - 'The Serpents Fall' and 'Walking on Sticks.' Andrea is known for her developmental work in writing for puppetry, and has produced a number of papers in this area which are still used extensively as training tools for writers new to this area. She has written plays for Handspan, Terrapin, Home Cooking Theatre, West, Toe Truck, Vitalstatistix, and Arena as well as producing many more independent works. She has also written a book 'Rodeo Girls Go Round the Outside' published by McPhee Gribble. She is presently developing three new shows - with Snakehouse, the Adelaide Festival Centre Trust and another on an independent writer's project Grant.

Synopsis:
Dingo, Jackie and Johnnie are three kids who live in a housing estate in the inner city. They constantly find themselves on the wrong side of the law. Sometimes they revel in it, sometimes they hate it. Dingo is picked up by the cops for committing an armed burglary. Jackie is picked up for being homeless. Johnny gets pushed just a bit too far by the cops, who stop him for questioning in the street every other night, and he finally lashes out. This play is a tough look at a tough problem and offers no solutions. It raises many questions.

Synopsis:
Kate has come home to the farm to 'claim her inheritance' but her family isn't happy about this. The land has been handed to her brother 'as it should be'. At the annual CWA concert, Kate, her mother Lil, and sister-in-law Annie, struggle to come to terms with the situation. Their progressively inebriated interaction is interspersed with stories and songs 'on stage' by the locals.

Synopsis:

Mickey's mum Nel, died when she was six. But when Mickey finds a photo of her mother in the arms of a handsome cowboy, she starts stirring up the bulldust. In to the arena rides Eadie, a 60-year-old yodelling cowgirl of dubious gender. Eadie lives her life like she's the star of an old Western. With hair bigger than Texas, and toting more hairspray than talent, Eadie and her band the Starrlets, blow Mickey's tight knit world of rodeo wide apart.
