Carmelina
Carmelita tells her daughter Gia that her Father was an American soldier who died in the War. On A Clear Day You Can See Forever
Daisy Gamble goes to a psychiatrist to get help to stop smoking. Daisy has the ability to know when a telephone will ring, know where lost items are to be found and make plants grow. the psychiatrist Mark Bruckner hypnotises her. Under hypnosis she goes back to a previous life she is Melinda Wells who lived in the 18th century. at their next session Mark learns more about Melissa's life and he finds that he is falling in love with her. When Melissa discovers her husband is unfaithful she boards a ship from england to America. the ship sinks. Mark is unable to save her. Daisy wakes up and is not happy about Mark and Melissa. Fellow psychiatrists scoff at Mark when he tells them. a rich industrialist however comes to him to find out who he will be in the future so that he can leave all his money to himself. Daisy heads for the airport but gets a premonition that the plane will crash. She decides to accept her abilities and returns to Mark

Paint Your Wagon
California 1853. Ben Rumson a miner is conducting a makeshift funeral for his friend when his sixteen year old daughter, Jennifer discovers gold. This starts a gold rush and very soon a town has sprung up and named after Ben - Rumson - it has four hundred men and one woman - Jennifer. Julio, a handsome Mexican miner is not allowed to live in the town because of his race. He meets Jennifer one day when in town looking for someone to do his laundry. the frustrated men folk tell Ben to send his daughter away - which he refuses to do until he catches her dancing with Julio's clothes. Jennifer runs away. a year later Jennifer returns. the gold has almost run out and her Father and the other men are planning to move on. Julio had already left in search of a lake that was supposed to have gold in it. as the townsmen are leaving Julio returns a broken man and is reunited with Jennifer. Ben decides not to go as it is his town.
