Meet Me At The Purple Orchid

Synopsis:
allie is a depressed novelist whose first book tanked on arrival. allen is a video game designer who long ago stopped knowing how to associate with people. Two sides of the same dissatisfied coin, these two unassuming people stumble across each other in the romantic wilderness of Manhattan and over the course of one night trade verbal jabs, secrets, and dreams - all in the hopes of feeling a little less alone in a city teeming with millions and millions of people. Under the best of circumstances an unlikely couple, allie and allen create the emotional center of this comedy-drama that studies the expectations of romance and the realities of finding love.

One Step Over

Synopsis:
In a small bond trading office, Martin Richards is the cock of the walk: brash, loud and morally amorphous. By-the-book trader Jerry "Goldie" Goldstein doesn't like Martin's methods or the man himself, but he has problems of his own, such as a very young daughter suffering from cancer and bosses who he believes don't appreciate him. Veteran trader Kelley Carlisle knows better than to be drawn in by Martin's charisma, but seemingly sincere respect from the younger man and a chance to take part in Martin's proposed scheme to illegally garner millions blind him to reality. What these men know about the business and each other is the platform for this wickedly black comedy-drama that revolves around their highly contentious relationships and the fall-out that occurs when a collapsed insider-trading scam sends them at each other's throats.
