When The Sea Was Young
Synopsis:
When the Sea was Young brings together two theatre pieces inspired by the sea and written by Richard Lewis. The abundant sea is the backdrop for Sea Tale, a mythic retelling of how, through the efforts of children and the wisdom of an ancient crab, our 'playing' came into the world. From the Sleep of Waters, a poetic rendering of the birth of aphrodite, accompanied by the magical creation of colorful fish, waves, grasses and sea creatures - imagined and crafted by Susan Joy Share.
