Published author of Yiddish Theatre in America, epic & Folk Plays of the Yiddish Theatre and a novel Headless Victory (aS. Barnes & Co. 1978). Contributor to encylopaedia BritannicA. Drama critic for various publications. Drama editor, Jewish Telegraph agency. Reci-pient: Fulbright-Hays Scholar for Research in Theatre, 1970-1971; Otto Kahn Fellowship at Metropolitan Opera; writing and production grants from Monmouth College; New York University award for Scholarship.
