Mike began his career in the theatre as Stage Manager at Lincoln (UK), progressing rapidly to become an actor performing in plays, musicals, and pantomimes throughout the country. Mike also appeared in cabaret at many venues in England and abroad as well as on cruise liners. Mike's love of writing came to fruition when he retired from the theatre and he has now published Allison's Summer, a children's story set in factual surroundings amongst true-life landmarks that takes the reader back to a more gentle and peaceful era. He has also written and had performed to critical acclaim two plays: All Change for Valhalla, and A Farce Too Far. Now living on the peaceful Lincolnshire coast with his wife and the occasional visits from family, Mike continues to write and is putting the finishing touches to his latest novel.

All Change For Valhalla
Synopsis:
When womaniser John Clubwell takes a married lady back to his flat for a night of passion he thought she would be hot stuff, but she proves to be too hot to handle and poor John suffers a heart attack . He finds himself in Heaven where he meets some very weird people - a glamorous Doctor's Receptionist, a camp Keeper of the Robes, a domineering owner of a Heavenly Marriage Bureau, and many more. Is it all a dream? Will it all come right for John in the end? Or will there be a twist at the end?
Notes:
Taking place in Heaven this One Act play follows the trials and tribulations of sinner John Clubwell. This play can be staged as lavishly or as simply as the director (and funds) allow. The characters can be doubled in most cases making it suitable for any size of cast and giving the actors the opportunity to express themselves as they play these eccentric characters. This play is the perfect vehicle for actors, director, stage manager, and wardrobe to allow their imagination to run riot!
