Born Kingston, Jamaica. aka Oscar Watson. Oscar was educated at a West London Grammar School and obtained a BA in Drama and English at Norwich. He taught Drama for a year before training as a director at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. Since then he has run a youth project at the Albany Empire; run the London Lesbian and Gay Centre and a number of other gay clubs. He also has run a pub Theatre. He is a director of the Actors Centre and a co-ordinator of the Black Theatre Forum. Named Oscar Watson but he is now known As Oscar Lumley-Watson

Battie-Man Blues

Synopsis:
Battieman is an abusive word of Caribbean origin for homosexual. Lloyd, a fashion photographer is picked up by Paul and they spend the night together. they talk about their lives and the pressures of being black and gay. "Come the revolution, when they line up the gays against one wall and the blacks against another, I wont know where to stand."
