alexandra Macalister- Bills grew up jumping waves and reading fairytales in Far east Gippsland before moving to Melbourne to study. alexandra graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2011 where she completed a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Creative Writing and Cultural Studies, as well as a concurrent Diploma in Spanish. She is addicted to travelling and has let herself get lost in South-east asia and South America. Her travels have taught her to never underestimate the impact of the everyday, which she hopes is reflected in her writing. alexandra also dabbles in short fiction, poetry, travel writing and text based art although she has a tendency to ignore these boundaries and cross-pollinate.
