Jennifer MacDonald has a background in literary criticism. She has taught Drama, English, History and Art extensively in secondary schools. She wrote and directed Another time, Another Place for Molong Central School (1982). Jennifer has written resource books for the NSW Department of Education and Training. She has travelled extensively and freelanced for The Egyptian Gazette (Cairo). Her plays Migratory Tensions and Trapped have received rehearsed readings at Melbourne Writers' Theatre. (2004 and 2005). Her play, Resurrection, was short-listed for Short and Sweet, Sydney (2005).

Ratsputin Meets His Match
Synopsis:
A magical star transports Raphael, a nine-year-old boy, to a planet called Shagara. The planet is the shape of a tree. It is inhabited by beings called Acornians. It is here that Raphael, accompanied by two newly found friends, Pebblonica and Aliya Puss Puss, realises his heroic potential and embarks upon a quest to conquer an evil character called Ratsputin.
