Roger MacDougall was born on august 2nd 1910 in Bearsden, Dumbartonshire, Scotland. He was married to documentary film director Renee Dunlop. In 1955 he developed multiple sclerosis which crippled him for most of his life. He wrote numerous screenplays including "Midnight In the Wax Museum" (1936) and "the Mouse That Roared" (1959).

Facts Of Life, The
Synopsis:
Teenager Jonathan has been staying out late on Wednesdays and Saturdays. He will not tell his parents what he is up to. His birthday is due but when asked what present he would like he says that he has everything he needs. then a much older blousy woman turns up saying that Jonathan owes her £5. With the aid of Jonathan's grandparents his parents discover that Jonathan is running a betting syndicate at the greyhound racing track. He has a great flair for mathematics and has put this to great use - a suitcase with £25,000 is found in his bedroom.
