Ceremonies 17
Synopsis:
these are ceremonies we devise to explain our place in the cosmos. the style of performance is a combination of techniques taken from traditional Asian zen theatre and Western circus and carnival shows. Much of the play, as experienced by the players within a mechanism of fate they cannot understand, is an enigma. For with a formal sense of ceremony, we transcend and sanctify the enigma, never exactly mastering the entire situation. Sometimes events remain unexplained, as when someone may narrate again and again the experience of finding a familiar restaurant transformed, offering items on the menu which may never be seen again

Poison Man, The
Synopsis:
a circus performer-astrologer-tax accountant is conjuring spirits according to sorcery diagrams and gets more than he bargained for as by a series of odd coincidences he is suspected of the "hot dog wagon" serial poisonings. This is a satiric play but there may be some resonance with socio-political topics. the wife of one victim escapes by feigning madness. Or is she actually pushed over the brink by a ghost? Gypsies circulate among the protagonists trying to sell protective icons.
Notes:
This is An Interdimensionalist play using the expressionist style of theatrical performance. the characters have quite real thoughts And emotions And Are not simple facades Yet the world in which they exist has many more operative dimensions than the literal three dimensions of mundane physical Appearance.

Re-Setting Ra/ Set Or "Rapture"
Synopsis:
a robed male or female being wearing a large horned helmet and carrying a thick wood staff stands briefly center stage, striding to the side as Ra , flashing an elegant gold cape, enters regally but seeming to be slightly near-sighted or dazed. Veneris, a sprite, rushes up to Ra silently and clips a jeweled metal clasp attached to a long cord to the solar plexus area of Ra, fastening it, after a bit of fumbling, quickly and stealthily beneath the golden robe .It gets very surreal with music & dancing, after this with "re-setting" the mythical Pre-Raphaelite characters into the modern day.
