Possessor, The

Synopsis:
Based on the last three years of the life of Eugene O'Neill. everyone in the play has real life antecedents, although different names are used. It is about a writer, Garrity, who has reached a stage in life where he is unable to write or function as a man and muses back over his life via flashbacks and other means, to try to discover the reasons for his malaise - principally his relationships with his children, his wives, his parents and brother.
