Crown Of Thorn
Synopsis:
This play examines the life of the priest/scientist, Pierre Teilhard deChardin, who has been called the most visionary thinker of the twentieth century. Convinced that all life evolved from the same speck of dust and continuous evolution was leading toward the unity of mankind, he found himself in direct conflict with Catholic doctrine of the time. He was forbidden to publish and given the choice of remaining silent or leaving the church. His final decision is not easily understood but springs from the soul search of a total human being - - - a man who lived life fully - . - wrestling with temptations, relationships, ego and ultimately his own faith. the Drama is cosmic in scope incorporating music, dance, poetry and visuals.
