Patrick Mangeni, is on a PhD (applied Theatre) Griffith University, a Guest Poet for the 2003 Queensland poetry festival. His plays, Operation Mulungusi & The Prince won the National Book Trust of Uganda award (NaBOTU) 2000 and nominated for the Uganda Literature Prize 2001. He has also published a children's novel, The Great Temptation. a published poet, he won a grant as Poet in Residence at akademie Schloss Solitude, Stuttgart, Germany in 1996. He is a literary and performance critic, short storywriter and a Senior Lecturer in Drama (Makerere University, Uganda) besides being facilitator for community theatre with communities on the margins. He is also a member of the International Editorial Board of Research In Drama Education Journal.
