He is a writer, actor and singer. As a voice coach he has taught at the Australian College of entertainment and at the Australian Academy of Dramatic Art. Darren appears in the film "Neophytes and Neon Lights."

Synopsis:
Twins Darren and Sharon Carpenter are born and raised on a farm in Australia's outback. they were not fitted to farm work and were hopeless at most things. One day they discover, in their father's record collection and album made by the "other" Carpenters.

Laughing Matters

Synopsis:
Inspired by the song "Laughing Matters" by Howard Crabtree "every day some brand new issue rears its head to piss you off. Don't you know it's times like these that laughing matters". Darren and Lyn look back on their tragic childhoods, appalling love affairs and disastrous careers.
