Synopsis:
The Violence of My Affection is an original play by Gaetano Marangelli about an Italian actress whose love of language binds, then severs her marriage to an American scholar. When their son, a journalist, tells her of her husband's sudden death, she refuses to believe him-until she reveals to him the cause of her husband's demise. "Marangelli's principal character is not your typical victim of pain and suffering who doesn't know how to feel sympathy for the world that rejected her," wrote Chicago Stage Style
