Christmas Carol, A
Synopsis:
Ebenezer Scrooge hates Christmas. He hates charity, he hates carol singers and more than anything he hates spending money. But this is a year like no other as Scrooge is propelled on a helter-skelter, supernatural ride through Christmases past, present and future. From carefree youth to misguided greed, from snowscapes to city streets, this is an epic adventure of the imagination. Will Scrooge open his heart to the true spirit of Christmas before it's too late? Promising another heart-warming family production, Ciaran McConville directs a company of actors joined by members of the Rose Youth Theatre in his own brand new adaptation of Dickens' enchanting story.

Heaven in Berlin
Synopsis:
Live music, choreography and promenade performance combine to capture the spirit of Berlin in the 1980s: a city at the front line of the Cold War and a hotbed of artistic exploration. 'Heaven in Berlin is a play with live music about families, freedom and the supernatural, performed in Testbed1, a large non-theatre space in Battersea. Loosely based on The Tempest, the island city of Berlin is the setting of a story of exile, parents and children, domination of the weak and liberation through beauty and faith in strange magic. The production is both domestic and epic in scope. Family relationships form the core of the drama but through the use of music, choreography and wide open space, we will move beyond a base of simple naturalism into a heightened performance state that is decisively theatrical.'

Man Who Dreamed, The
Synopsis:
Arthur Penman is a nobody. He works for the reputable firm of Singleton, Drab and Gray. But one night he returns home to find a beautiful woman waiting for him. An actress. He is whipped up into a world of theatre, writing, dreaming and ultimately madness. "the great joy of the Festival is discovering groups and writers you'd not come across before. Funny, touching and riotously inventive, this tautly scripted, superbly performed gem was head and shoulders above many big name, big budget productions elsewhere in the Festival. the company are clearly names to watch." the Irish Post. "Thirty seconds into this production, I could feel the tension in my shoulders loosen, the corners of my mouth upturn into a half-smile and my every muscle relax, secure in the knowledge that I was in the presence of accomplished performers who were going to enchant me with their fairytale, without a single line-fluff, a glimpse of over-acting or self indulgence." the Scotsman
