Island of Doctor Moreau, The
Synopsis:
H G Wells' savage tale of science run amok. A young man lands on an island where a madman takes nature down a dark road. Piper's daringly physical adaptation, together with the haunting original score - played live by composer Lucas Syed - evokes otherworldly horror. Five brave actors, hailing from Romania, Japan and Brooklyn, create a world of pumas, sloths, boars, wild dogs, and rabbits who are being vivisected into human beings. It's an ominous fable that foreshadows today's ethical debate about science and animal experimentation. A thrilling ride.
