Synopsis:
Explores the strained relationships between three generations of a great American family: aging patriot Benjamin Franklin, his British loyalist son William Franklin, and his illegitimate grandson, William Temple Franklin. Merging family and historical drama, the play investigates principles of fatherhood, the ideals that gave birth to the Nation, and the tortured interpersonal dynamics of one of its founding families.
