Medium, The
A phoney medium, Madame Flora, uses her teenage daughter and another teenager a mute orphan boy to help fool clients. She is very drunk a the séance she holds. She believes that someone tries to strangle her and she send her clients away. She berates Monica her daughter for her poor performance and blames Toby the mute boy for trying to strangle her. The clients return. Madame tells them she is a fake and shows the tricks she has used to fool them. She drinks even more and throws Toby out. Monica pleads for Toby to stay. Monica goes to her room. Madame continues drinking and she falls asleep Toby creeps back into the house. He cannot get into Monica's room as she has locked the door. He knocks something over which wakes Madame. Toby hides in the puppet theatre that he plays with. Madame sees the curtain move. She gets out her gun and tells the ghost that she thinks is lurking in their to speak up or she will shoot. Toby cannot speak and she shoots him three times. His bloody and lifeless body falls out of the puppet theatre
