Nathan Metcalf started writing plays when his brother approached him, needing a show for his high school competition. The show went on to win top honors. Naturally, others followed. Shortly thereafter, he was hired by the National Theatre for Children as an Artistic Associate and backup writer. Within 3 years, he had written (or co-written) 14 shows. Today he still works as a playwright and actor in the Twin Cities, with his wife, Jolene, and his labrador, Spaghetti. Nate had a different moment in the sun in 2007 when he became a one-day Jeopardy! Champion.

Masterpiece
Masterpiece
A one-act about a young artist on a journey to create her one great masterpiece. On the way she learns lessons about life, art, flamingos, playing the tuba, Georgia O'Keefe, really fat ducks, monkeys wearing roller skates, and the joy of coloring outside the lines. A strong ensemble, poetic language, and expressionistic visual elements make Masterpiece perfect for students or adults.
