Black Eyed Susan
Synopsis:
Douglas Jerrold's nautical meloDrama Black Eyed Susan (1829), a big bit in its day for an author who worked prodigiously for Punch magazine, had a strong social conscience, and had Dickens and Thackeray among his pallbearers when he died in 1857. It would be unwise to make any great claims for the piece, in which the eponymous Susan suffers the aftentions of both a rapacious uncle and an over-amorous sea captain, while her sailor husband is sentenced to death by court martial merely for defending her honour. the tone ranges from the comic to the maudlin, accompanied by jolly hornpipe music, occasional songs, and a resilient hero who faces the gallows with great sang-froid.

Ostrich Boys
Synopsis:
Kenny, Sim and Blake have hatched a plan to kidnap their best friend Ross. But its not a ransom theyre after. And its not a proper kidnapping anyway because Ross is already dead, run over while travelling on his bike to school. So the boys are determined to fulfill a wish that their friend had when he was alive to visit the place that bears his name, Ross in Southern Scotland. Clutching Ross in his urn, the boys set off from Cleethorpes by train to Scotland to begin an action packed and emotional journey, little realising the affect that Ross had on them during his life and how much he still means to them. Combining dark humour with tragedy, this is a wonderfully poignant story about the trials of growing up, which touches on loss, sorrow, hope and the meaning of friendship.

He arranges to meet Harry Bell, the actor who is portraying him at his Hampstead home but this is a ruse to try and see Elena Bell Harry's wife who is now a virtual recluse. Hamstead is being terrorised by awful screams and moans thought to be the Ghoul. Harry Bell leaves to go to the theatre and Holmes and Watson manage to see Elena. they hear the Ghoul approaching the house. Harry Bell arrives back - claiming he was summoned back. Holmes goes to investigate but is attacked by the Ghoul - his headless body is found in the garden.

Yarico
Synopsis:
Yarico, an Amerindian beauty, is a young woman with great dreams and a fierce, independent spirit& When Inkle, the third son of a British merchant is shipwrecked on her island, he faces certain death at the hands of the islanders. In a courageous act, Yarico intervenes and saves him from his fate, marking the beginning of an extraordinary love story, which ultimately takes them to the island of Barbados. The story of Yarico was first recorded by Richard Ligon in his book: True and Exact History of the Island of Barbados published in 1657. On hearing her story, Ligon wrote: "And so poor Yarico for her love, lost her liberty. This powerful and epic new musical of forbidden love, betrayal and redemption is based on a true story that fired the world's imagination and contributed to a social movement against the slave trade. A story of great historical significance that has languished in time, once revived will remind us of the value of freedom.
