Synopsis:
When did you first experience difference? When did you discover others? Was it outside your family and those closest to you? Or was it as if suddenly lines were drawn, separating you, making some seem different and other? When did it strike you there were others inside your family? Among your friends? Not only strangers but groups you were either in or out of: friends, relatives, strangers all mixed up, acting together. Perhaps it was a demonstration. Perhaps you were a witness. Perhaps you saw or read a story in the news. Or it happened closer, close by, at home, or on the street, in a city: Auckland, where 217 nationalities live side by side. When did you realise politics divides? Or brings together? Did it change how you saw the world? Did it change the world you see? BONESEED is the third project of Minus Theatre. They use a unique form that includes the different languages of the group's members as well as dance, theatre, film & music. It is immediate, different, challenging and real.
