Do You Like That Man?
Synopsis:
This description is by the author/performer, James Harrison Monaco: "It's a full-length solo performance called Do You Like That Man, wherein I spin a fictional tale of a wedding reception on Long Island. While telling it, I make a musical score with just my body and voice, and let the music create the action as much as the words. The idea is that I teach the audience a musical, physical story-telling language, and then use it to create a large, complex world without leaving my chair."

Reception
Synopsis:
Through body percussion and voice, James Harrison Monaco transports the audience to a gaudy rented mansion on Long Island for a wedding reception. This original tale includes all the huge group dance numbers (performed solo), existential despair, disgust, and love that make up a family gathering.
