Caterpillars         Moving Stationery         Pianist, The         Sleepyhead

Caterpillars

Synopsis:
In the magical world of flitting butterflies, jumping eggs and giant swaying flowers, two lycra-clad puppeteers try their hardest to remain unseen and at service to their puppets: two enormous plump caterpillars. Things are just not going to plan. This is the story of their failed attempts at aviation and beautification. Caught in the wrong place at the wrong time, with nothing but their wits to cover up their escalating blunders, two appealingly hopeless clown puppeteers bring upbeat absurdity, slapstick silliness, and a good dose of reality to their hilarious and unpredictable antics.

Moving Stationery

Synopsis:
Moving Stationery is a wordless one-man physical comedy show combining dance, object manipulation and clown technique. the creation of Moving Stationery took place inFinland as part of a three-month artist's residence. With very little human interaction during that time, and outside temperatures dropping to -28 degrees Celsius, the result is a particularly well rehearsed but slightly off-kilter show. This comedy of errors revolves around Sigmund, the bewildered recipient of a new office job, who is completely out of his depth. Sigmund's desperate attempts to defend himself against his own mistakes spiral out of control until he is fighting an epic war against a (deceptively) harmless office. the elevator, his lunch, and the office stationery seem set to destroy him.

Pianist, The

Synopsis:
At the peak of high society entertainment sits The Pianist's pianist. Impeccable in every aspect he glides graciously through life never placing a foot out of step. He is, in a word: perfection. Or at least. . . that's what he thinks. The Pianist (Thomas Monckton) is so focused on impressing everyone that before he realises it, his show has transformed from the highbrow concert he hoped for into the spectacularly amusing catastrophe that is The Pianist. To salvage his somewhat unsalvageable dignity the pianist draws on his imagination and comes up with some rib-tickling and absurd results.
