Absent Friends
Synopsis:
This musical soap opera is written in the style of Dennis Potter and introduces us to two cobbers who drink together day in, day out in the South Sydney Leagues Club. Over schooners of beer and endless cigarette's they reminisce about absent friends- all of whom they are pleased to see the back of. We discover that the two fellows have been trashed and done down by so many of these absent friends that they feel better off being left alone to end their days with drop kicks in the bar and half cut on cheap grog.
