Eggzerox Nightmares
Synopsis:
Can human genetic cloning deliver the perfect corporate identity? Sam Denton, multimillionaire Chairman and founder of Denton International Conglomerates believed that it could. Only a man created in his own image would be good enough to succeed him and run the vast business empire he'd built from nothing. He persuades a leading geneticist to help him produce a clone with the assistance of his wife Helen. Thirty years in the future, their 'son' Jack has grown up to resent the reasons behind his creation and sets out for revenge. At the opening of the play, the Company has collapsed catastrophically, leaving Sam Denton a broken man. And yet worst is still to come. Can a mother and son confront the terrible truths of their family history and overcome the legacy it has left them? How much free will remains when both genetics and upbringing are controlled towards a specific end?
