The play, The Chains of Liberty, premiered on September 7, 2014, as part of a daylong festival celebrating the overthrow of British authority in rural Massachusetts eight months before the battles of Lexington and Concord. The play will also be performed on October 24th as part of the American Antiquarian Society's annual meeting.
Synopsis:
David Moran was commissioned to write a play about Worcester, Massachusetts's role in the American Revolution by the Worcester Revolution of 1774 Project. The play, The Chains of Liberty, premiered on September 7, 2014, as part of a daylong festival celebrating the overthrow of British authority in rural Massachusetts eight months before the battles of Lexington and Concord.
