Synopsis:
the Caruthers family are gathered to receive some momentous news. Which of Celia's three sons will inherit the estate and the Doomstone? Just as the question is about to be answered the proceedings are interrupted by the arrival of an uninvited body and, at the height of a dreadful storm, a pair of eccentric detectives. Who has stolen the Doomstone? Who killed the unknown caller? Who made the wet patch halfway up the dining room wall? Follow the adventures of Chloe as she attempts to get her nightcap up the stairs and thrill to the denouement as all is revealed in the final scene.
