Home in Her Heart

Synopsis:
Can the love of two women survive the black-white divide? In 1939 London, Jimmie LeRoy and Claire Hicks have lived, loved, and performed together for three years. Jimmie has a lifetime of experience as a lesbian and as a male impersonator. Claire, a talented black pianist, is with a woman for the first time, and a white woman, at that. the gathering storm of war and a letter from home plummet them into the harsh reality of returning to a segregated U.S. As they pack to leave, the specters of exile, external hatred, and internalized homophobia make the very dream of their love seem impossible.
