Merrilee Moss won an AWGIE in 2010 for her play Night Breakfast. She has had seven plays produced, including: If Looks Could Kill, Empty Suitcases, The Slippery Slope and Over the Hill, which toured Australia and was translated into Mandarin. Moss writes novels too - and her lesbian crime spoof, Fedora Walks, was translated into German. Her books for young adults include the adventure series Hot Pursuit and the gay-themed Thriller & Me. She is currently doing a PhD in playwriting at Monash University.

Tango Femme

Synopsis:
Lannie, a menopausal librarian, is struggling to maintain her job, while caring for her elderly mother. She collapses outside the Golden Apple dance studio and as she learns to dance, she is drawn into a struggle to save the studio. Amidst the passionate battle about who will win the ultimate prize, a cast of vibrant characters, waltz, cha cha, jive and rhumba, towards the ultimate climax  the Tango.
