Guaranteed Irish
Synopsis:
Part of Tiny Plays for Ireland: Fishamble, in partnership with the Irish Times, asked the Irish public what can be achieved with three minutes of stage time, what are the issues that need to be addressed, and who are the people that should be brought to life in the theatre? Fishamble received over 1,700 plays from every county in Ireland and many countries beyond. Tiny Plays for Ireland combines selected works by members of the public and dramas by some of Ireland's best loved writers to provide one dramatic picture of Ireland at the crossroads.

Guaranteed!
On the night of September 29, 2008, the Taoiseach and Minister for Finance decided to guarantee Ireland's banks - to the tune of ¬440 billion. Guaranteed! tells the story of that night, and how they got there. Written by journalist and documentary-maker Colin Murphy, and based on official documents and off-the-record interviews, Guaranteed! reconstructs Ireland's banking boom and bust - as it was seen from inside the corridors of power. An ensemble of actors plays a myriad of ministers, bankers and bureaucrats as they wrestle with the unfolding crisis. You will come away informed, enraged and perhaps a little heart-broken. We have stripped back our assets for a recession-friendly, bare-bones presentation where we will hold on to our scripts, while you can hold on to your wallets.

Inside the GPO
Synopsis:
It's been one hundred years since Irish rebels led a rising against British rule, using Dublin's General Post Office as their headquarters. The dearth of information about what happened inside the GPO during Easter week 1916 doesn't hinder playwright Colin Murphy, who uses the gaps in the record to pen a wartime drama. - The Stage
