John, a New Jersey native and lifelong resident, has been writing, in one form or another, since he was nine years old and remembers being the odd sixth-grader who wrote his first (unpublished) novel on a half-size, manual typewriter. He holds a BA in English Literature from Rutgers University, an MBA in Corporate Finance, attended law school, spent many years working on Wall Street and in advertising, but has never strayed from his love of writing. And, just for fun, a few years ago, John took a dare and appeared on Jeopardy! He has studied playwriting with Rogelio Martinez, Donna DeMatteo and Julie McKee in New York City and being a self-professed control freak, he has studied direction with Tony Award-winner Jack Hofsiss. In addition, to numerous readings and workshops, John's New York productions, include gift giver, directed by Jack Hofsiss and starring Obie-Award winner, David Drake,broken, directed by Obie-Award winner, Arthur French and the mute swan, directed by Rasa Allan Kazlas. John and his three dogs live in New Jersey.
